Lea Shabat was born in Casablanca, Morrocco, to Jewish parents who emigrated to Israel in the late 1940’s.
Lea moved to Montreal, Canada in the 1960’s where she brought up her two children who work in art and in human rights.
Her passion has always been painting and her themes are of nature, ecology and social justice.
She is a passionate advocate of human rights and womens’ rights in particular.
Lea’s works are in many prominent collections around the world.
